Our 
Story

Spreading Japanese spirit "Wa" is our mission

As classmates born and raised in Japan and attended a school that upheld traditions revered by generations of the imperial family, we pursued separate paths in life, and lived abroad before reuniting decades later.

Having gained an understanding of Japan's beauty from an outsider's perspective, we both shared a desire to convey the splendor of Japan to foreign visitors. Amidst this, the idea of omusubi, a simple dish anyone can make, emerged. However, through teaching simple omusubi-making classes, what we truly aim to impart is the Japanese spirit of harmony, valuing the harmony between oneself, others, and nature.

Perhaps, amidst the challenges we face such as war and environmental issues, if each individual harbors this spirit of harmony within their hearts, someday these issues may find resolution. If participants of the Omusubi-Doh (Art of Omusubi) workshops carry this message back to their own countries, the spirit of harmony will continue to spread. Ultimately, what we aspire to achieve is, in fact, to journey towards world peace while enjoying delicious and joyful moments together.

For us, even beyond the age of 60, the opportunity to embark on meaningful new challenges is nothing but a joy.
